CARE

Keeping your Mermaid Hair looking magical is super easy! With a little love and care, your reusable extensions can stay beautiful, soft and ready for endless styling adventures.

Brushing & Detangling

Before and after each use, gently brush your Mermaid Hair with a wide-tooth comb or detangling brush. Hold the hair securely at the base and start brushing from the ends, working your way up through the middle and towards the top hair tie. This helps remove tangles without pulling or damaging the hair fibres.

Washing & Refreshing

A little refresh goes a long way! Your Mermaid Hair only needs washing when visibly dirty, so avoid washing too often to maintain its softness and shine.

Mix a small amount of mild shampoo into lukewarm water and gently immerse your Mermaid Hair. Avoid rubbing, scrubbing or twisting.

Rinse thoroughly with cool water to remove any shampoo.

Add a little conditioner to clean water and let your Mermaid Hair soak for a minute before rinsing thoroughly with cool water.

Gently pat dry with a clean towel and lay flat to air dry naturally. Make sure your Mermaid Hair is completely dry before wearing it again.

A Little Extra TLC

If the ends start looking a little frizzy or worn after lots of magical adventures, simply apply a little hair oil or carefully trim the ends to freshen them up.

Heat Styling

Need to smooth out your Mermaid Hair after lots of magical adventures? You can gently use a hair straightener on a low heat setting of no more than 120°C to smooth out frizz and refresh the hair fibres. Always use gentle, quick passes and avoid excessive heat to keep your Mermaid Hair looking silky, smooth and magical!

Storage

When the magic is done for the day, pop your Mermaid Hair back into its original storage bag to keep it safe, tangle-free and looking fabulous. For extra protection, loosely plait the hair before storing.

Keeping Tangles Away

For little mermaids always on the move, we recommend styling your extensions into plaits, bubble braids or other fun hairstyles to help minimise tangling during play.
